Closing ceremony for the CFYE program – Challenge Fund for Youth Employment in Tunisia 🇹🇳
This week marks the official closing of the Challenge Fund for Youth Employment (CFYE) in Tunisia, an initiative led by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands 🇳🇱, with a common ambition: to foster the creation of decent and sustainable jobs for young people.
At UGFS-NA, we are proud to have supported, alongside our partner WIKI START UP, the Consortium for Youth Employment. For three years, we have mobilized our expertise to support young people, businesses and strengthen the employment ecosystem in several regions of Tunisia.
📍 On June 22nd, we celebrated the consortium’s achievements during our closing event.
📍 On June 24, the national results of the program confirmed a remarkable impact, with nearly 8,000 jobs created, improved or matched for young people nationwide.
Our consortium contributed to nearly 60% of these outcomes, with concrete achievements:
✅ 4,645 jobs created, improved or matched for young people
✅ 811 young people trained in several regions of Tunisia
✅ 1,898 young women accompanied towards better economic opportunities
✅ 76 companies financed in strategic sectors
This step also marks the beginning of a new chapter with the launch of our Green 4 Employment fund, an UGFS-NA initiative aimed at supporting companies and projects that create green jobs, accelerate the transition to a sustainable economy and foster more inclusive growth.
A big thank you to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, the CFYE program, our partner WIKI START UP as well as all the actors mobilized throughout these three years.
