UGFS North Africa is proud to have organized the side event “Towards a New Era of Green and Blue Finance in Tunisia” on the sidelines of the CSR Power International Forum.

This event brought together experts, institutions, and committed stakeholders to discuss sustainable finance, impact investing, and innovative mechanisms supporting Tunisia’s green and blue transition.

🔹 The first panel, dedicated to capital markets and thematic bonds, was moderated by Ms. Lobna Rourou, Chief Transformation Officer at Microcred Tunisia, with the participation of Ms. Hanene Ellafi, Head of the Accounting Control Department for Development and Sustainability at the Financial Market Council, Ms. Moufida Romdhane, Head of the Studies and Tax Legislation Unit at the Ministry of Finance (DGELF – General Directorate of Studies and Tax Legislation), Mr. Issam Elkhrochani, expert in blended finance, impact investing, and blue economy, as well as Mr. Karthik Iyer, Director of Market Engagement & Partnerships at the Blue Bond Accelerator.

🔹 The second panel, focused on impact investing, was moderated by Ms. Maya Jerbi, President of the Orange Foundation, and featured contributions from Mr. Khaled Dridi, Fund Manager at UGFS NA and representative of the Challenge Fund for Youth Employment, Mr. Sami Marrouki, President of the UN Global Compact Network Tunisia, Mr. Hamda Zeramdini, National Director of Swisscontact Tunisia, and Ms. Asma Zaouali (Rouissi), Strategy and Development Manager at the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations.

The closing synthesis was delivered by Ms. Sonia Barka, General Delegate of ATIC (Tunisian Association of Capital Investors).

Ms. Sonia Barka highlighted that this side event emphasized the importance of green and blue finance as a key driver for sustainable development in Tunisia.

She praised the quality of the discussions and called for stronger collaboration among stakeholders to accelerate impact investment and support a sustainable and inclusive economic transition.
